You really sure Sony are goning to sell 4 million PS3's this year in December alone?
You also see it outselling the Wii this December - wow thats some confidence.
The PS3 should have a strong December but with the Wii still selling like crazy with this 'fad!' and the 360's price cut i cant see it coming out on top by much - if at all.
Still some lovely games being released on the PS3 in the next few months.
Be a hater...not a gamer
9/10 is an awesome score.
Some 10/10's handed out are probably not worthy but still........
Perhaps play the complete game for yourselves for a month or so and then give it your OWN score, and not before.
The 9/10 score simply reflects his view and enjoyment of the game.
So far this gen my favourite game is LOTR BFME2 (online) - do metacritic agree; Hell No,
Does it bother me that i would give it a 10/10 but a majorit...
All he's got to do is ask to play some of the MLG Halo players - Walshy,Ogre1 etc.
After he gets ripped apart i'd like to see a video of him on YouTube being humble about his so called 'skillzz'.......
I would prefer it if you could build your structures more freely and not right on the base though.
Seems like a Fisher Price RTS - everything is rounded and the game seems soft - the Scarab should have been a big presense on screen but it was just another unit.......
Still got high hopes for this one.
Some devs have already stated that putting games on the 360 this gen is a hardship - but can still be done.
Next gen MS will need a bigger storage format and because a feasibilbly fast Digital Download infrastructure still wont be ready for 7+ years i think that they would go with blu-ray on the xbox3.
By then Blu-ray will be cheap to manufacture and sticking it inside a console wont cost them the earth like it is Sony this gen.
A new Panzer Dragoon,
Jet Set Radio,
Virtua Fighter,
Sega Rally,
Shenmue,
Decent Nights game
A proper Sonic game - not in 3d.
Powerstone game
One day i guess.........
"Hopefully this game will get an average rating of over 90% and people will finally start having faith in RARE again "
People have got faith in Rare - its just that they started with 'true classics' like Donkey Kong Country and Goldeneye,
Viva Pinata,Kameo and the likes are still decent solid games and certainly above average, but asking them to produce AAA titles constantly is impossibile - no dev ever has - and they still get my vote.
With a majority of families on a tight budget, what with the world-wide economy and such the 360 will be a more 'Prudent' buy.
As has been been pointed out - perhaps over the space of 5/6 years the PS3 will be cheaper IF you subscribe to LIVE GOLD for that time.but does the average person know this - i doubt it.
Also i believe that people will walk into a shop and see the same multiplat titles on both systems that 'Little Timmy' might like - Madden,Fifa,Need for S...
I agree - we have only seen a trailer of sorts for Bungies new project - some more info at TGS would be expected im sure.
Also imo KOTOR1 > KOTOR2
@lelo - there isnt enough MMO's - on consoles anyway.
If KOTOR3 does turn out to be an MMO then i hope that their is no monthly subscription fee - although the two usually go hand in hand.
Treasures Sega Saturn 'Guardian Heroes' game had a wierd 2.5d thing going on and they implemented a simple way from jumping to the 3 different plains available.
Still,a little niggle at the end of the day.
Although completely unscientific and subject to abuse from the 'multi account' holders it would be intersting to see how many people think that EXCLUSIVE DLC on multi-platform games is important this generation.....
Perhaps click 'Agree' if you think thats its important
Or click 'Disagree' if you think that its a waste of resourses allround.
I think that MS are in the console division for the long hall.
If they lose money over a generation or two it will hurt them but as long as they achieve overall profit eventually and mass market penetration then they will be happy.
The losses are probably subsidised by their Windows/Office stuff which allthough is debatable if its as good as other OS's, is certainly being brought and used by a large majority of the planet.
Still they do need to ope...
Why do people pay for LIVE - why do MS charge for LIVE......
I think that the reason MS charges for LIVE is obviously to make money, but why?
Well a business like any other is all about making money.
I beleive also that the money MS has made from LIVE has subsidised the recent price cuts of the 360 - thus they are passing on some benefits to consumers.
Some of the money goes into R & D for things like the new LIVE experience comin...
Im not sure i could tell the difference!
If someone told me that one game was running at 30fps and another was 60fps i doubt i could pick which was which.
Infact aslong as the game doesnt stutter in anyway does anyone notice the difference?
I thought the human eye could only register 27 fps - like a cinema projector and that seems smooth to me.
I apologise if im wrong ^^^!!!
What with an unmatched online service - thats just about to become better.
A range of AAA games out and more being released soon that are second to none.
A price that has finally hit the mass market/average joe in affordability.
All the 360 has to do to turn it from a being a brilliant buy to a perfect buy is make the hardware reliable and have free 'gold' online.
Then again - nothings perfect.........
At the end i was expecting him to pick up the keyboard and smash it through the other guys head and then finish him with a 'stone cold stunner'.
Still tame compared to some of the ultra-serious guys i've encountered on the Halo's - "Dont touch that mother-f*ck*ng sniper rifle, jesus christ,WHAT DID I SSSSAAAAAAYYY." - Good times.
An action rpg it might be,but when one person is wading through tons of dialogue do the other 4 just want to be waiting around........
I suppose if Fable2 carries it off with 2 player co-op then if implemented correctly then it might be plausibile someway with 5,but still - hmmmmmm.
Even if the game is just 25% better than the first it will be a AAA game in my book.
As for the coveted 'Game of the year' award,well by my reckoning you've got the following vying for that title (as long as they deliver on their hype and potential);
Gears2
Fable2
MGS4
Fallout3
LBP
Resistance2
CoD5
Any glaring ommissions i apologise - im low on caffiene at the moment *goes to stick the kettle on*
Microsoft are really trying to get market share this gen in a big way.
Even if they dont make much money off each unit sold this gen im sure that going into next gen they will have achieved their goal of mass market acceptance of being a big player in the console arena.
